Students with the top score in each subject in each year level are awarded a medal and a medal winner’s certificate. It should be noted that students must have written the relevant assessment during the official ICAS testing period and the result must be judged as sufficiently meritorious to be eligible for a UNSW medal.
The ceremony was held in early July to publically acknowledge, encourage and reward students’ academic achievements. Medals are presented to students in each year level in the subject areas of English, Mathematics in Chinese, Mathematics in English, Science in Chinese, Science in English and Writing.
In recognition of students’ academic achievement, UNSW Global Pty Limited is pleased to offer UNSW Foundation Studies ICAS Special Award (Hong Kong and Macau).
This Special Award is established to enable Hong Kong and Macau citizens who achieve outstanding results in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) to undertake the UNSW Foundation Studies program, a qualification of the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

This will be in the form of a UNSW Foundation Studies fee waiver, to students in Hong Kong and Macau who achieved a Distinction or High Distinction in an ICAS test taken within two years of submitting an application to study at UNSW Foundation Studies.
